MyMusicBin — Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 24, 2026 (Version 1.0)
This Privacy Policy explains how MyMusicBin, LLC (“MyMusicBin,” “MMB,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the MyMusicBin website and related services. MyMusicBin is currently intended for users in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in several different ways depending on how you use MyMusicBin.
Artist account information
When you create or maintain an Artist account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, Artist or band name, account credentials, profile information, and other information you choose to provide.
Track rights certifications
When an Artist certifies a Track for publication, MyMusicBin records information associated with that certification. This may include the Artist account ID, Track ID, date and time of certification, certification version, songwriter names, whether the work is original or public domain, public-domain publication year when applicable, the Artist’s certification answers, and the typed legal name used to certify the Track.
Content and artist information
We store the music, artwork, photographs, biographies, lyrics, credits, album and Track information, and other Content that Artists upload or enter into MyMusicBin.
Fan Following email addresses
Some Artists enable a Fan Following mailing-list feature. If you choose to join an Artist’s mailing list, you provide your email address voluntarily. MyMusicBin stores that address for the Artist whose list you joined. The Artist can access and export the addresses on that Artist’s list, including as a CSV file. MyMusicBin does not use Fan Following email addresses for MyMusicBin marketing. You may use the unsubscribe option provided with the Fan Following feature to remove your address from that Artist’s list.
Album-slot purchases
Artists may purchase annual album slots from MyMusicBin through WooCommerce. Payments are processed through MyMusicBin’s PayPal payment service. MyMusicBin and WooCommerce may retain information associated with the order, such as the Artist’s account and contact information, the product purchased, price, order status, transaction reference information, and purchase date. Payment credentials are handled by the payment processor; MyMusicBin does not intentionally store complete payment-card or PayPal login credentials.
Paid music downloads
When a Listener purchases music from an Artist, the Artist is the seller and payment is made through the Artist’s own PayPal account or payment arrangement. MyMusicBin does not receive or store the Listener’s payment credentials. MyMusicBin may receive a payment-confirmation signal or transaction reference needed to issue and administer the Download Authorization.
QR code redemptions
Artists may distribute or sell QR codes outside MyMusicBin. A person who possesses a valid QR code may redeem it through MyMusicBin for the associated Download Authorization. MyMusicBin does not require the person redeeming the QR code to provide a name, email address, or other personal information as part of that redemption.
Site usage, analytics, and technical information
MyMusicBin uses WordPress-related services and Jetpack statistics to understand site usage and operate the site. These services may collect or generate information such as page views, visitor counts, device or browser information, IP address or approximate location derived from it, referring pages, dates and times of visits, cookies, and similar technical information. WooCommerce may also generate store and order analytics relating to MyMusicBin’s own products.
Communications and support
If you contact MyMusicBin for support, copyright matters, account questions, or other requests, we may retain the information you provide and our communications with you.

3. When We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
With Artists
If you voluntarily join an Artist’s Fan Following mailing list, your email address is made available to that Artist. Once an Artist exports or otherwise receives that address, the Artist is responsible for the Artist’s own use, storage, security, and communications.
With service providers
We may provide information to companies that help us host, operate, secure, analyze, or process transactions for MyMusicBin, including our website hosting and infrastructure providers, WordPress-related services, Jetpack/Automattic, WooCommerce, and PayPal, but only as appropriate for the services they provide.
For copyright and legal matters
We may disclose relevant account information, certification records, contact information, Content, or communications when reasonably necessary to respond to a copyright complaint or other claim, comply with a subpoena, court order, law-enforcement request, or other legal obligation, or protect our rights or the rights of others.
Business changes
If MyMusicBin is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of its business or assets, information associated with the service may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
MyMusicBin and services used to operate the site may use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, account sessions, security, preferences, analytics, and transaction-related functions. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so may prevent some MyMusicBin features from working correctly.
5. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide MyMusicBin, maintain business and certification records, resolve disputes, respond to claims, enforce our agreements, and comply with law. Different types of information may be retained for different periods. Artists are responsible for retaining their own master copies of uploaded Content.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information maintained by MyMusicBin. No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost without authorization.
7. Children
Artist accounts are limited to persons who are at least 18 years old. Under the Listener Terms, MyMusicBin may be used by persons age 13 or older, and persons under 18 may make purchases only with permission of a parent or guardian. MyMusicBin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.
8. Your Choices and Requests
You may update certain Artist account and profile information through MyMusicBin. Fan Following subscribers may use the unsubscribe feature to remove their email address from an Artist’s mailing list. You may also contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information associated with you. We may need to retain some information where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or recordkeeping purposes.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
MyMusicBin may contain links to or interact with third-party services, including Artists’ PayPal accounts, support or tip links, and other external websites. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. MyMusicBin is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
10. United States Service
MyMusicBin is operated from the United States and is intended to be available only to users in the United States. Information collected through MyMusicBin is processed in connection with operation of the U.S.-based service and its service providers.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on MyMusicBin and update the date shown at the top. Where required or appropriate, we may also provide additional notice.
