Artist Setup Guide

Everything you need to create a great MyMusicBin page

MyMusicBin makes it easy to create a professional home for your music. Before you get started, having a few things ready will make setting up your Artist Profile and albums quick and easy.

And don’t worry—you can come back and make changes later.

1. Create Your Artist Profile

Your Artist Profile identifies you throughout MyMusicBin and provides the information visitors see at the top of your public page.

Have these ready:

  • Artist or Stage Name
  • Tagline — a short phrase describing you or your music
  • Artist Image
  • Biography
  • Your preferred Page Theme
  • Your preferred Page Visibility

Page Visibility

Public — Anyone Can Find Me
Choose this if you want your MyMusicBin page to be discoverable by visitors and search engines.

Direct Link Only
Choose this if you only want to share your page with people you give the link to. Your page will still work normally for anyone with the direct link, but it will not be included in MyMusicBin’s public artist listings and is marked so search engines should not index it.

2. Prepare Your Images

You’ll need:

  • One Artist Image for your Artist Profile
  • One Album Image for each album you create

Your images can be photographs, artwork, illustrations, logos, or other graphics that represent you and your music.

Image recommendations

  • JPG or PNG
  • Minimum 600 pixels on the shortest side
  • Portrait, landscape, and square images are all supported
  • Images around 1200 pixels provide plenty of resolution for a MyMusicBin page
  • Maximum upload size: 10 MB

You don’t need to enlarge a good-quality image just to reach 1200 pixels.

3. Prepare Your Music

MyMusicBin uses MP3 files for streaming.

Audio recommendations

  • File type: MP3
  • Recommended quality: 256–320 kbps
  • 320 kbps is preferred for the highest streaming audio quality
  • Maximum file size: 30 MB per track

Lower bitrates produce smaller files but may also introduce audible compression artifacts. Starting with a high-quality MP3 helps your music sound its best to your listeners.

4. Create Your Album

Before creating an album, it’s helpful to have the following ready:

  • Album Title
  • Album Image
  • Release Date
  • Genre
  • Short Album Description
  • Album Accent Color
  • Your MP3 tracks

Your Album Accent Color gives each album its own visual identity while still working within your overall Artist Page Theme.

You can edit your album information and appearance later.

5. Add Your Tracks

For each song, you’ll need:

  • Track Number
  • Track Title
  • MP3 Audio File

Use the track numbers to put your songs in the order you want listeners to hear them.

You don’t need to rename your MP3 files to match the song titles. MyMusicBin uses the track information you enter when displaying your music.

6. Make It Yours

Your Artist Theme controls the overall appearance of your public page.

Each album can also have its own Album Accent Color, which is used for the album title, player controls, playback progress, and other album details.

Choose combinations that make your page easy to read and that complement your images and artwork.

7. Review Before You Share

Once your Artist Profile, album, and tracks are ready, use View Public Page from your Artist Dashboard.

Take a minute to:

  • Check your Artist Image and Album Image
  • Read your biography and album information
  • Make sure your tracks are in the correct order
  • Play each uploaded track
  • Check your page on a phone as well as a computer

Once everything looks and sounds the way you want it, your MyMusicBin page is ready to share.

You Can Always Make Changes

Nothing has to be perfect the first time.

Return to your Artist Dashboard whenever you want to update your profile, change your page appearance, edit an album, manage your tracks, or review your public page.
